70 Years of Service!

Sea Scouts

The Sea Scout Ship 110 - Charles N. Curtis, is a program of the Boy Scouts of America.  Ship 110 was established in 1924 on the Thea Foss Waterway and is dedicated to serving young men and women ages 14 years and older.

The Tacoma Propeller Club is the Charter Partner for the Charles N. Curtis Sea Scouts. Sea Scouting uses the maritime environment and traditions to build leadership and skills in the youth that they will need on into the future. Through traditional scout advancement combined with modern day maritime technologies, the youth will leave the program with practical skills that they will use the rest of their lives. The Curtis program averages three to four Quartemasters a year, which is the Sea Scout equivalent to the Boy Scout Eagle Award.
